Your information
Privacy Notice
What happens to information shared through our forms, accounts, competition pages and connected enquiry services.
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Your player workspace
You can edit your public introduction, nickname, playing details, biography, social links and permitted profile images. These changes are stored on your linked player record; a verified profile becomes pending after self-edited details change. Registered identity, team membership and verified match scores use the existing team and admin process. You can hide your profile from public browsing while accurate historical competition records remain.
Development goals and training journals are private to your account and do not change official match statistics. Portfolio uploads are held in private storage and become publicly playable only after you publish eligible content or an authorised administrator approves a submitted item. You can make your own portfolio items private or remove them. Do not upload media without the appropriate rights and consent. Account deletion requests include these workspace records, subject to the review and retention process below.
Player community and scouting
Community preferences are private by default. Enabling discovery shares your community name, optional introduction, playing position, location already on your public profile, and opportunity preference with signed-in community members. Your private career goal and coach scouting notes are visible only to the account that created them. Connections and text messages are stored to operate conversations; reported message evidence is available to authorised moderators. Messaging is not end-to-end encrypted.
You can stop new requests, disconnect, block and report accounts. Direct networking currently requires adult player age verification or an approved team coach or manager account. Use /account-deletion to request account and associated personal-data deletion, or email info@facktsafrica.co.ke. Requests are verified and reviewed, including any necessary retention of competition or abuse-investigation records.
Who this notice covers
This notice describes information handled through the FACKTS Hoops website and related basketball services. FACKTS Hoops is part of the FACKTS Africa group. Contact us at info@facktsafrica.co.ke to ask who manages a particular record or to direct a privacy request.
The website includes public pages as well as player, team and administrative features. Different forms collect different information; provide only what is relevant to your enquiry or participation.
Information you provide
Contact and contractor enquiries may include your name, email address, phone number, organization or trade, enquiry type and message. Coverage booking requests also ask about an event, venue, date, services and broad budget range.
Accounts, player or team profiles, event administration and competitions may involve account identifiers, permitted contact details, team affiliations, fixtures, results, statistics and media where relevant. Do not send identity documents, medical records or confidential agreements through the public contact form.
How the information is used
We use enquiry details to respond, review proposed work, plan requested coverage and keep an appropriate record of follow-up. We use account, event, roster and competition information to operate relevant website features, maintain basketball records, correct errors, and manage access.
We may send enquiry details to a restricted FACKTS Africa CRM review inbox so authorized staff can handle your request. An enquiry is not automatically accepted as a new client relationship. Where a form offers an optional notification or subscription choice, that choice is separate from the service enquiry.
Where information goes
The website uses hosting and technical service providers. Coverage bookings may be sent through a Google Apps Script workflow to an organizer booking record; contact enquiries may be sent to our team by email through an email provider and/or to the FACKTS Africa CRM review inbox. Account and competition features use the platform's database and media services.
If you choose WhatsApp, social media, video platforms or other external links, those services handle your activity under their own notices. Some service providers may process information outside Kenya; contact us if you would like information about a particular service or transfer.
Public records, media and young people
Published competition pages, results, player and team profiles and media can be viewed by others. If your information appears incorrectly or you have a concern about publication, contact the FACKTS team with the relevant page link so we can review it.
A parent or guardian should contact us before submitting or requesting publication of personal information about a child. Do not put a child's private contact details or sensitive information in an ordinary enquiry.
Website storage and notifications
The site may store recent searches locally in your browser, and its installable web-app feature may use a service worker and local cache to help pages load. Browser notification features, where offered, require your device or browser permission. You can change notification permissions and clear local website data in your browser settings.
Technical logs and security records may be used to diagnose failures, prevent abuse and keep the service running. This notice does not describe unrelated tracking or advertising as a feature of the contact form.
Access, retention and your choices
We keep information only while it is needed for the relevant service, follow-up, recordkeeping or other applicable obligations. The period depends on the type of record; public competition history and ordinary unanswered enquiries may have different lifecycles.
You can ask us about your personal information, request a correction, raise an objection, or ask us to review removal where appropriate. Email info@facktsafrica.co.ke and explain which record or page you mean; we may need to verify that the information concerns you before acting. Some accurate competition records or records needed for legal reasons may need to be retained.
Updates and contact
We may update this notice when the website, its forms or its providers change. The current revision date will appear on this page. To ask a privacy question, report an incorrect profile or request access or correction, email info@facktsafrica.co.ke or use the contact page. For sensitive privacy requests, prefer email rather than a public form.
